SUPPLEMENTARY PUBLIC WORKS PROCUREMENT PROVISIONS

17.03.010 Procurement of architectural, engineering, surveying and landscape architectural services – Statutory provisions adopted.

Chapter 39.80 of the Revised Code of Washington, as amended, is adopted as the ordinance of the city relating to procurement of architectural, engineering, surveying and landscape architectural services.

A. At least once annually, the city shall publish in a local newspaper of general circulation announcements requesting submission of qualifications and performance data to the city from persons and firms engaged in the lawful practice of architectural, engineering, surveying, and landscape architectural professions for each category or type of said services.

B. The city manager may adopt and promulgate rules and regulations for the administration and enforcement of this section which are not inconsistent herewith or with superior law. The purpose of such rules and regulations is to carry out the provisions of this section. (Ord. 2000-32 § 1 (part), 2000).

17.03.020 Small works roster authorized – Statutory provisions adopted.

Sections 39.04.155, 39.04.070, and 39.04.200 of the Revised Code of Washington, as amended, are adopted and implemented as the ordinance of the city establishing a small works roster or rosters which are authorized.

A. At least once annually, the city shall publish in a local newspaper of general circulation a notice of the existence of the roster or rosters and solicit the names of contractors for such roster or rosters. The city shall also add the names of responsible contractors the appropriate roster or rosters at any time upon submission of a written request and necessary records.

B. The city manager may adopt and promulgate rules and regulations for the administration and enforcement of this section which are not inconsistent herewith or with superior law. The purpose of such rules and regulations is to carry out the provisions of this section. (Ord. 2000-32 § 1 (part), 2000).
