ADOPTION OF UNIFORM CODES AND STANDARDS

15.02.010 Adoption of uniform codes and standards.

Except as amended and modified elsewhere in Title 15 of the Wapato Municipal Code, the following uniform codes and standards are adopted by reference as the regulations of the city of Wapato governing building and structures, and shall have the same force and effect as if they were set forth fully herein:

A.  The International Building Code, 2003 Edition, published by the International Code Council as adopted and amended by the state of Washington in Chapter 51-50 WAC;

B.  The International Residential Code, 2003 Edition, published by the International Code Council as adopted and amended by the state of Washington in Chapter 51-51 WAC;

C.  The International Existing Building Code, 2003 Edition, published by the International Code Council;

D.  The International Mechanical Code, 2003 Edition, and the International Fuel Gas Code, published by the International Code Council as adopted and amended by the state of Washington in Chapter 51-52 WAC;

E.  The International Fire Code, 2003 Edition, published by the International Code Council as adopted and amended by the state of Washington in Chapter 51-54 WAC;

F.  The Uniform Plumbing Code, 2003 Edition, as published by International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials as adopted and amended by the state of Washington in Chapters 51-56 and 51-57 WAC;

G.  The rule adopted by the International Code Council establishing standards for making buildings and facilities accessible to and usable by the physically disabled or elderly persons as provided in RCW 70.92.100 through 70.92.160;

H.  The Washington State Energy Code as set forth in Chapter 51-11 WAC;

I.  The Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code as set forth in Chapter 51-13 WAC;

J.  The International Property Maintenance Code, 2003 Edition, as published by the International Code Council;

K.  The International Urban-Wildland Interface Code, 2003 Edition, as published by the International Code Council;

L.  The ICC Performance Code for Buildings and Facilities, 2003 Edition, as published by the International Code Council.  (Ord. 1142(part), 2006)

15.02.020 Priorities.

A.  In case of conflict among the uniform codes adopted by reference by the city of Wapato in this title and elsewhere, the priorities specified in RCW 19.27.031 shall apply.

B.  Pursuant to RCW 19.27.090, certain local land use and zoning requirements, building setbacks, side and rear yard requirements, site development standards, property line requirements, subdivision requirements and general land requirements are contained and reserved in other enacted ordinances and policy documents of the city of Wapato.  Enactment of this title does not abrogate those requirements.  In case of direct conflict between the provisions of this title and such other ordinances, the most restrictive shall apply.  (Ord. 1142(part), 2006)
