15.48.010 Plan compliance.

The numerical designation of all doorways and entrances to buildings, lots, yards and grounds fronting upon the several ways, avenues, streets, drives, places and squares of the city are established in accordance with the plan prepared under and by direction of the street and ditch committee of the city and now on file in the office of the city clerk.  (Ord. 158 §1, 1920)

15.48.020 Number placement.

The owner or occupant of any building or premises fronting upon any way, avenue, street, drive, place or square in the city shall upon receiving three days’ notice from the building inspector of the city, place a correct number of such building or premises over or upon the doorway or entrance of the same in legible figures not less than two inches in length and one inch in width.  If any number shall have been heretofore placed upon or over the doorway or entrance of any such building or premises, which number does not conform with the provisions of this chapter and the plan prepared under and by direction of the street and ditch committee and now on file in the office of the town clerk, upon like notice from the building inspector the owner or occupant of any such building or premises shall forthwith remove and correct such number.  (Ord. 158 §2, 1920)

15.48.030 Inspection.

The police chief is appointed as inspector of street numbering and it shall be his duty to give the notice prescribed in Section 15.48.020 whenever any building or premises in the city shall be found which is not numbered in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.  (Ord. 158 §3, 1920)

15.48.040 Violation--Penalty.

Any person who fails, refuses or neglects to comply with the notice provided for in this chapter or who violates any provision of this chapter, shall upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine in any sum not to exceed fifty dollars or by imprisonment not to exceed ten days in the City Jail, or by both such fine and imprisonment.  (Ord. 158 §4, 1920)
