DISORDERLY CONDUCT

6A.12.010 Disorderly persons defined and enumerated.

The following persons are declared to be disorderly persons:

(1) Any person found intoxicated from the use of drugs or other substances, exclusive of alcoholic beverages, in any public place in the city;

(2) Any person fighting or encouraging others to fight in any public place in the city;

(3) Any person who shall, by noisy, riotous or tumultuous conduct disturb the quiet and peace of the city, or of any meeting or assemblage therein;

(4) Any person who shall use, in the presence of another person, vulgar, profane, or indecent language, or who shall make any vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent gesture, under circumstances which create a risk of assault;

(5) Any person who intentionally obstructs vehicular or pedestrian traffic without lawful authority;

(6) Any person who shall wilfully annoy, bother, molest, insult, or offer an affront or indignity to any person, under circumstances which create a risk of assault;

(7) Any person who, without proper authorization, wilfully removes, defaces, injures, or destroys any street sign, or sign erected or placed in or adjacent to any street, which sign indicates the name of the street or serves as a traffic-control device;

(8) Any person who transmits a fire alarm when he knows there is no fire, or summons police or ambulance on the pretext that an emergency exists if he knows that there is no such emergency;

(11) Any person in the city engaged in buncoing or in the operation of a swindling game or device for the purpose or swindling or defrauding others;

(12) Any person who shall expectorate at or toward another person;

(13) Any person who shall intentionally inhale vapors or fumes of any substance for the purpose of inducing euphoria, hallucination or intoxication, except as authorized by law; and every person who shall visit or resort to any place with knowledge that any of the above acts are being conducted, practiced or carried on illegally therein. 6A.12.020 Violation – Penalty.

Every person convicted of a violation of any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. (Ord. 2419 § 1.01, 1980)

6A.12.030 Unlawful conduct on municipal transit vehicle.

(1) Pursuant to RCW 35.21.180, the authority extended thereby, the city of Wenatchee does hereby adopt by reference RCW 9.91.025, together with amendments thereto or additions thereto on the subject of the ordinance.

(2) One copy of such statute, RCW 9.91.025, is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, shall be filed with the city clerk for use and examination by the public in the office of the city clerk, and is on file with the city clerk prior to the adoption of said RCW 9.91.025.
