PENALTIES

6B.08.020 Fines to be paid into general fund.
6B.08.010 Violation – Fines.
(1) A violation of Chapter 6B.06 WCC, unless otherwise specified, shall be a traffic infraction punishable by a fine of $30.00.
(2) A violation of WCC 6B.06.160 shall be a traffic infraction punishable by a fine of $50.00.
(3) A violation of WCC 6B.06.050, 6B.06.170 or 8.18.040 shall be a traffic infraction punishable by a fine of $124.00.
(4) Any violation of Chapter 6B.06 WCC or WCC 8.18.040 shall be processed as a traffic infraction for a parking violation, as stated in Chapter 46.63 RCW, as it now appears or is hereafter amended.
(5) In the event a response to a traffic infraction is not made in accordance with subsection (4) of this section, then an additional monetary penalty of $25.00 shall be assessed. (Ord. 2022-30 § 1; Ord. 2009-39 § 1; Ord. 2005-30 § 1; Ord. 2002-22 §§ 1, 2; Ord. 2983 §§ 3, 4, 1993)
6B.08.020 Fines to be paid into general fund.
All fines or forfeitures collected under this title and all moneys received from traffic infractions related to parking violations issued within the city shall be paid into the general fund of the city. (Ord. 2009-39 § 1; Ord. 2005-30 § 1; Ord. 2571 § 1, 1985)
