3.16.010 Sale Conditions.

Before real property is sold or leased for more than five years the subject shall be discussed at a minimum of two city council meetings not less than one week, nor more than 12 weeks, apart. Public notice of the possible sale or long-term lease shall be posted at City Hall not less than five nor more than 20 days prior to a minimum of one of the council meetings at which the issue is to be discussed. In addition, the subject shall be clearly described on the agenda prepared before the two council meetings. (Ord. 901, 1992)

3.16.020 Effect of noncompliance.

This chapter is intended to supplement, not supersede, state law as it exists or may be revised. The failure to abide by this chapter shall not invalidate any sale or long-term lease made by the city; provided, that the city complies with state law at the time of such sale or long-term lease. (Ord. 901, 1992)
