BOARD OF AIRPORT COMMISSIONERS

2.40.010 Establishment.

There is created a board of airport commissioners for the town consisting of five members to be appointed by the mayor subject to confirmation by the town council.  Such commissioners shall serve without compensation.  (Ord. 94-B §1, 1980)

2.40.020 Terms of office.

The first commissioners appointed hereunder shall determine by lot whose term of office shall expire each year and that the term of office of one such commissioner shall terminate on the first Tuesday of January of 1981, of the second commissioner on the first Tuesday of January of 1982, of the third commissioner on the first Tuesday of January of 1983, of the fourth commissioner on the first Tuesday of January of 1984, of the fifth commissioner on the first Tuesday of January of 1985, and that a commissioner shall be appointed annually to take office on the first Tuesday of January each year hereafter to serve for five years.  (Ord. 94-B §2, 1980)

2.40.030 Duties.

The board shall have no administrative duties or authority but shall advise and make recommendations to the mayor and town council from time to time as to the needs of the town relative to airport matters and the development of airport facilities.  (Ord. 94-B §3, 1980)
