EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT

2.20.010 Emergency Services Department created.

There is hereby created the Department of Emergency Services. The purpose of said Department shall be to formulate such rules and regulations as are necessary to help the Town prepare for and deal with an emergency or disaster of the magnitude referred to in the preamble to the ordinance codified in this chapter. [Ord. 89.2 § 1, 1989].

2.20.020 Director of Emergency Services Department – Created – Appointment – Duties.

There is hereby created the position of Director of the Emergency Services Department. The Director shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Town Council. The Director of the Emergency Services Department shall be directly responsible to the Mayor and shall be responsible for the organization, administration, and operation of the Department. The Director shall promulgate such rules and regulations as are necessary in order to prepare the Town for dealing with an emergency or disaster as described in the preamble to the ordinance codified in this chapter. All rules and regulations so developed shall be approved by the Mayor prior to becoming effective. [Ord. 89.2 § 2, 1989].
