5.15.010 License required.

It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in any commercial construction activity including, but not limited to, framing, roofing, sheet rock, texturing, painting, plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, masonry, concrete, asphalt, and tile without first obtaining a license. [Ord. 96.12 § 1, 1996].

5.15.020 Posting of license.

All licenses obtained by the person set forth above shall be posted in a prominent location at the premises where the construction is taking place. [Ord. 96.12 § 2, 1996].

5.15.030 Application information.

The person applying for a license shall provide the following information: Person or company name, address, telephone number, contractor registration number, bond number, bond company, and verification of current registration with the State. [Ord. 96.12 § 3, 1996].

5.15.040 License fee.

The fee to be charged for the license shall be as set forth by resolution. The applicant must register each year and provide updated information. [Ord. 2004.18 § 1, 2004; Ord. 96.12 § 4, 1996].

5.15.050 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, subject to a penalty of a maximum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) and/or one (1) year in jail. [Ord. 96.12 § 5, 1996].
