13.25.010 Rules and regulations.

The following rules and regulations are hereby established for regulating and controlling sewage lines and septic tanks in the Town of Wilkeson, and providing for penalties and punishments for violation of same. [Ord. 105 § 1, 1969].

13.25.020 Permit application.

An application for a permit must be made at the office of the Town Clerk/Treasurer by the property owner or his agent duly authorized to make same; the application must state fully size of septic tank or tanks, alterations or changes to be made, and must agree to conform to all rules and any modifications that may be made, and the permit must be approved by a majority of the Council members, and a fee as set forth by resolution shall be charged for the permit. 13.25.030 Installation.

All septic tanks shall be installed in accordance with the rules and regulations governing sewage disposal of the Pierce County Health Department. [Ord. 105 § 3, 1969].

13.25.040 Remodels and new construction.

All remodeling which costs more than fifty (50) percent of the value of the residence, or new construction of a residence or other building requiring sewage disposal facilities, must install a septic tank or tanks, and any sewage line previously going into creeks or storm drain lines shall be cut and plugged. [Ord. 105 § 4, 1969].

13.25.050 Violation – Penalty.

The failure or refusal to comply with any provisions of this chapter shall subject the offender to a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisonment in jail for not exceeding thirty (30) days or both. [Ord. 105 § 5, 1969].

13.25.060 Each day separate violation.

Each and every day on which a violation of this chapter occurs and continues shall be considered a separate violation. [Ord. 105 § 6, 1969].
