3.84.010 Fund created.

There is created a special fund to be known as the parks and recreation fund. (Ord. 1276 § 1 (part), 1970).

3.84.020 Source of funds.

The parks and recreation fund shall be credited with all receipts arising from any parks and recreation activities, contributions for parks purposes from private sources, or contributions from other city funds as authorized by the city council, and may be further supported by budget allocation of the property tax or other revenue source not restricted in use by law. (Ord. 1276 § 1 (part), 1970).

3.84.030 Purposes—Expenditures.

The moneys in the parks and recreation fund may be used to meet any expense incurred by the parks and recreation department in the course of its operation; provided, that no expenditures shall be made from such fund unless the city council shall approve such expenditure by passing an ordinance appropriating money within the fund for the purpose for which the expenditure is to be made or by including an appropriation for such purpose in the budget.
