9.10.010 Central business district.

“Central business district” is defined as the area within the following boundaries:

The west curbline of 6th Avenue, the south curbline of Walnut Street, the east curbline of 6th Street, and the north curbline of Lincoln Avenue. (Ord. 2735 § 2 (part), 1983).

9.10.020 City.

“City” means the city of Yakima. (Ord. 2735 § 2 (part), 1983).

9.10.030 Core business district.

“Core business district” is defined as the area within the following boundaries:

The east curbline of 1st Street, the north curbline of Walnut Street, the west curbline of 6th Street, and the south curbline of “B” Street. (Ord. 2735 § 2 (part), 1983).

9.10.040 Divided highway.

“Divided highway” means any highway that has been divided into two or more roadways by leaving an intervening space or by a physical barrier or clearly indicated dividing section or by a median island not less than eighteen inches wide formed either by solid yellow pavement markings or by a yellow crosshatching between two solid yellow lines so installed as to control vehicular traffic. 9.10.050 Pedestrian mall.

“Pedestrian mall” means an area officially designated as such by the city council pursuant to the provisions of RCW Chapter 35.71. (Ord. 2735 § 2 (part), 1983).

9.10.060 Public holiday.

“Public holiday” means the first day of January (New Year’s Day), third Monday of January (Martin Luther King’s Birthday), third Monday of February (President’s Day), last Monday of May (Memorial Day), fourth day of July (Independence Day), first Monday of September (Labor Day), eleventh day of November (Veteran’s Day), fourth Thursday of November (Thanksgiving Day), the day immediately following Thanksgiving Day, and the twenty-fifth day of December (Christmas).
