MUSIC AND/OR ENTERTAINMENT LICENSES

5.08.010 License – Required.

It is unlawful for any person, firm, association, society or corporation owning, leasing, operating or controlling any place or establishment holding a retail license authorizing the sale of beer or wine for consumption on the premises, to permit or allow on said premises any music and/or entertainment whatsoever without first obtaining a license so to do as hereinafter provided; provided, however, that the words “music and/or entertainment,” as herein used, shall not apply to radios or mechanical musical devices.

5.08.020 License – Fee.

The license fee for furnishing music and/or entertainment at or within an establishment holding a retail license authorizing the sale of beer or wine for consumption on the premises, shall be ten dollars per year for the period beginning on the first day of September and ending on the last day of August of the succeeding year. No license shall be issued for a fractional period and anyone applying for a license for the remainder of any period shall pay therefor the full amount required for the year or period.
