9.16.010 Vehicle Licenses.

No person shall operate any vehicle without having in full force and effect a current and proper vehicle license issued pursuant to state law; provided, vehicles exempted by state law from licensing requirements are to the same extent exempted from the requirements of this section.

9.16.020 Drivers’ Licenses.

No person shall drive any vehicle unless such person has a valid driver’s license issued pursuant to state law; provided, persons exempted by state law from licensing requirements are to the same extent exempted from the requirements of this section.

9.16.030 Motorcycle Drivers’ Licenses.

No person shall drive any motorcycle unless such person has a valid driver’s license endorsed by the Washington State Highway Director as enabling the holder to drive such vehicles.

9.16.040 Driving While License Suspended or Revoked.

No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a time when his Washington State driver’s license is revoked or suspended pursuant to state law.

9.16.050 Allowing Unlicensed Person to Drive.

No person shall authorize and knowingly permit a motor vehicle owned by him or under his control to be driven by any person who is not authorized to do so by the drivers’ licensing laws of the state.
