ZONING DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED

18.15.010 Establishment.

(a) For the purpose of this title, the village of Arena is hereby divided into the following 12 use districts:

(1) R-1 village small lot residential district single-family.

(2) R-2 village large lot residential district single-family.

(3) R-3 village two-family residential district.

(4) R-4 village multiple-family residential district.

(5) B-1 village general commercial district.

(6) B-2 village highway commercial district.

(7) I-1 village industrial district.

(8) I-2 village industrial park district.

(9) PUD village planned unit development district.

(10) CON village conservancy district.

(11) A-1 agricultural holding district.

(12) P-1 public institutional district.

(b) Boundaries of these districts are hereby established as shown on maps entitled “Zoning Map, Village of Arena, Wisconsin,” which accompany and are part of this title. Such boundaries shall be construed to follow corporate limits; U.S. Public Land Survey lines; lot or property lines; centerlines of streets, highways, alleys, easements, and railroad rights-of-way or such lines extended; unless otherwise noted on the zoning map.

(c) Vacation of public streets and alleys shall cause the land vacated to be automatically placed in the same district as the abutting side to which the vacated land reverts.

(d) Annexations to or consolidations with the village subsequent to the effective date of the ordinance codified in this title shall be placed in the R-2 district unless the annexation ordinance temporarily places the land in another district. [Res. 05-04. Prior code § 10-1-23].

18.15.020 Zoning map.

A certified copy of the zoning maps shall be adopted and approved with the text as part of this title and shall bear upon its face the attestation of the village clerk and shall be available to the public in the office of the village clerk.

Changes thereafter to the districts shall not be effective until entered and attested on this certified copy. [Res. 05-04. Prior code § 10-1-24].
