RAILROAD GRADE CROSSING STOPS

10.25.010 Railroad grade crossing stops.

Pursuant to the authority granted in Wis. Stat. § 349.085, when a train or railroad engine of any kind is within 1,000 feet of any of the railroad grade crossings hereinafter set forth, the operators of vehicles shall be required to stop and remain stopped until such time as they can reasonably proceed with safety at the following railroad grade crossings:

1.    Army Lake Road approximately 10 yards from the west end of Army Lake Road and its intersection with Walworth County Trunk Highway “ES.”

2.    Army Lake Road approximately 10 yards from the east end of Army Lake Road and its intersection with Walworth County Trunk Highway “ES.”

3.    Near the south end of Saint Peters Road approximately 30 yards north of Walworth County Trunk Highway “ES.”

4.    Wisconsin State Highway “L” at Lake Beulah (also known as Beulah Station).

5.    County Trunk Highway “J” approximately 100 yards north of its intersection with Walworth County Trunk Highway “ES.” (2008 code § 6.05)
