16.31 BOWS AND ARROWS.

(1)    Except as provided in subsection (2), no person shall shoot with or discharge a bow, crossbow, or similar device which propels or projects an arrow or similar projectile on City property or within one hundred (100) yards of a building located on another person’s land within the limits of the City of Edgerton. For purposes of this section, a building is defined as a permanent structure used for human occupancy. The arrow or bolt discharged from a bow or crossbow shall be discharged toward the ground.

(2)    This section shall not apply:

(a)    To the shooting or discharging of toy arrows which have a tip made of rubber or similar material.

(b)    To supervised public or private activities.

(c)    To the shooting or discharging of a bow, crossbow, or similar device within one hundred (100) yards of a building if the owner of the land on which the building is located allows the discharge of the bow. (Ord. 14-01)
