10.950 Jaywalking Prohibited.

(1) It shall be unlawful for any person to cross a street at any place other than a crosswalk in the business district of the City.

(2) It shall be unlawful for any person to cross a street at a controlled intersection unless in conformity with a walk signal or upon orders of a traffic police officer.

(3) Business District. The territory contiguous to and including a highway when within any 600 feet along such highway there are buildings in use for business or industrial purposes, including but not limited to hotels, banks or office buildings, railroad stations, and public buildings which occupy at least 300 feet of frontage on one side or 300 feet collectively on both sides of the highway.

(4) Penalties. Penalty under this section shall be a forfeiture of $1.00 for each violation.
