2.76.010 Title.

The ordinance codified in this chapter shall be known as the “Alpine County Inventory Control Ordinance,” pursuant to Section 24051 of the Government Code. (Ord. 358 § 1, 1976)

2.76.020 Annual inventory required.

An inventory of all county property shall be compiled on or before July 10th of each year. (Ord. 358 § 2, 1976)

2.76.030 Recordkeeping.

The auditor-recorder is designated as the keeper of record of all inventories and shall keep said records for a period of five years. (Ord. 358 § 3, 1976)

2.76.040 Officials and department heads required to compile inventory.

A. The following elected officials and department heads shall compile and file with the county auditor-recorder an inventory, under oath, showing in detail all county property in his possession or in his charge at the close of business on the preceding June 30th.

B. Elected officials and department heads required to file said inventory control are:

1. Assessor,

2. Auditor-recorder,

3. County clerk;

4. Sheriff-coroner,

5. Superior court clerk;

6. Treasurer-tax collector,

7. District attorney;

8. Planning commission;

9. Justice court clerk;

10. Building inspector,

11. Public works director,

12. Librarian;

13. Health officer,

14. Welfare director,

15. Probation officer,

16. Any other officer as may be designated by the board of supervisors. (Ord. 358 §§ 4, 5, 1976)

2.76.050 Inventory forms and procedures.

The auditor-recorder shall supply each department with the necessary designated forms and inventory control I.D. tags to carry out a complete inventory of all county property. An I.D. tag shall be placed on all fixed assets with the number correlated to the master inventory control sheets for that department. The original master inventory control sheets shall be returned to the auditor-recorder and a copy retained in the department files. (Ord. 358 § 6, 1976)

2.76.060 Transfer of inventory to successor officials and department heads.

All officers and department heads, upon termination of office, shall be required to deliver a true copy of the inventory in their charge to their successor, who in turn shall sign a receipt for it and file said receipt with the auditor-recorder. (Ord. 358 § 7, 1976)
