9.07.010 Parking time, consecutive days limited.

No person who owns or has possession, custody or control of any vehicle shall park such vehicle upon any street or alley for more than a consecutive period of three days. (Ord. 2007-1 § 1(3), 3-13-2007)

9.07.020 Removal of unattended vehicles.

Any regularly employed and salaried officer of the Police Department may remove or cause to be removed:

A. Any vehicle that has been parked or left standing upon a street, alley or highway for three consecutive days.

B. Any vehicle parked on a street or highway in violation of any chapter, or resolution forbidding standing or parking, and the use of the highway, street or alley, or a portion thereof as necessary for the cleaning, repair, or construction of the highway, or for the installation of underground utilities; provided, however, that signs giving notice that such vehicle may be removed are erected or placed at least 24 hours prior to the removal.

C. Any vehicle which is parked so as to prohibit or interfere with the use or movement upon the street, alley or highway, the use of which has been authorized by the City for a purpose other than the normal flow of traffic, or for the movement of equipment, articles or structures of unusual size; provided, however, that signs giving notice that such vehicle may be removed are erected or placed at least 24 hours prior to removal.

D. Any vehicle parked or left standing in violation of any chapter, or resolution of the City prohibiting such parking; provided, however, that signs are erected, placed or posted, giving notice of the removal. (Ord. 2007-1 § 1(4), 3-13-2007)

9.07.030 Greasing, repairing, vehicles on streets.

No person shall construct or cause to be constructed, repair or cause to be repaired, grease or cause to be greased, dismantle or cause to be dismantled, any vehicle or any part thereof upon any public street in the City. Temporary emergency repairs may be made upon a public street.

9.07.040 Violation and penalties.

It shall be unlawful and an infraction for any person to park, leave unattended or leave standing, any vehicle or permit the doing of the same, or to repair or grease a vehicle on any public street within the City in violation of the provisions of this chapter, and such infraction shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $50.00 for the first violation; a fine not exceeding $100.00 for a second violation within one year; a fine not exceeding $250.00 for each additional violation hereof within one year.
