2.32.010 Compensation of officers and employees.

Except as otherwise provided by the Charter of the city, the mayor and council shall fix by resolution or order the salaries or compensation to be paid to each and every subordinate officer of the city and to each and every city employee, which salary or compensation may be changed from time to time at the discretion of the mayor and council. (Prior code § 2.3).

2.32.015 Compensation of the mayor and council.

(a)    As provided in Section 36516 of the Government Code, the mayor and each member of the council shall receive a monthly compensation of three hundred dollars per month.

(b)    The salary set forth in this section may be adjusted, as provided in Section 36516 of the Government Code. (Ord. 1309 § 3, 2007).

2.32.020 Bond required for elected officials and employees.

All elected officials and employees are ordered to be bonded to the city in the amount of five hundred thousand dollars. (Ord. 1077 § 1, 1989: Ord. 827 § 1, 1973: prior code § 2.4).

2.32.030 Issuance of bond.

Each of the officials designated in Section 2.32.020 is hereby required to furnish a bond, in the penalty set forth in that section, issued by a responsible surety company, payable to the city and conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of his respective office. (Prior code § 2.5).
