13.15.010 Water rates.
All persons, firms or corporations having a connection with the City of Gardner water system shall be charged a monthly water service charge for each meter by which they are served and a water usage charge in accordance with the following rates. When multiple persons, firms or corporations are served by one water meter, a monthly water service charge shall be billed for each residential dwelling unit.

C. Coin-Operated Bulk Water Sales. $5.25 per 1,000 gallons.
D. Nothing in this chapter shall preclude the City of Gardner from entering into contractual agreements with customers for the sale of wholesale water. The City of Gardner shall determine the rates to be charged for wholesale water on a case-by-case basis. (Ord. 2285 § 1; Ord. 2245 § 1; Ord. 2169 § 1; Ord. 2128 § 5. Code 1990 § 15-301)
13.15.020 Metered separately.
Each single-family dwelling or mobile home inside or outside the corporate limits of said City having a connection with the City of Gardner water system must be metered separately. (Ord. 1927 § 6. Code 1990 § 15-302)
13.15.030 City reserves right for permission to connect.
No pressures, fire protection, or uninterrupted service shall be implied by this chapter, and the City reserves the right and final determination of the permission to connect, or the length of time that service is to be extended, and this chapter shall be part of any agreement, written or otherwise, extending water service to any water customer. 13.15.040 Estimation of bills.
In case any meter shall stop or for any reason fail to register properly or upon failure to read the meter, then the City of Gardner may estimate the monthly bill for water to be based on the average quantity consumed during the preceding 12 months. (Ord. 2128 § 6. Code 1990 § 15-304)
