9.32.010 Concealed weapons.

A.  Except as provided in Oregon Revised Statutes 166.260 and 166.290, as now constituted, no person shall carry concealed about his person or carry concealed in a vehicle a revolver, pistol or other firearm; a knife other than an ordinary pocket knife; a dirk, dagger or stiletto; metal knuckles; or any other weapon by the use of which injury could be inflicted upon the person or property of another.

B.  For purposes of this section, an ordinary pocket knife is one with a maximum blade length of three and one-half inches which is not a switchblade or springblade knife. (Ord. 2410 §21, 1981)

9.32.020 Discharge of weapons.

Except in the lawful defense of a person or property or at firing ranges approved by the chief of police, no person other than a peace officer or a person authorized by the state of Oregon or by the U.S. government to capture or kill wild animals shall fire or discharge a gun or other weapon which propels a projectile by use of gunpowder or other explosive, jet or rocket propulsion within the city limits of the city of Cottage Grove. 9.32.030 Fireworks.

The following sections of the Oregon Fireworks Law, together with all acts and amendments applicable to cities, are adopted by reference and made a part of this chapter:  Oregon Revised Statutes 480.110, 480.120, 480.130, 480.140(1), 480.150 and 480.170. (Ord. 2410 §23, 1981)
