RESIDENCY OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES1

2.44.010 Requirement.
No appointive officer or employee of the city shall be required to reside within the city as a condition of his appointment of employment, or as a condition of his continuing in such office or employment. (Ord. 289 § 1, 1967).
For statutory provisions authorizing a city to determine whether there shall be residential qualifications for its officers and employees, see RCW 35.21.200; for statutory provisions prohibiting all cities from requiring residency within the city limits for firemen and police, see RCW 41.08.075 and 41.12.075 respectively.
