WATER TAX*

3.44.010 Required.

There is levied and there shall be collected from the water department of the city a tax at the rate of 10 percent upon the gross sale of water made by said water department. The city clerk shall add the amount of the tax to the charge the city makes for water and set the same aside for the general fund upon receipt. (Ord. 595 § 3, 1981; Ord. 87 § 1, 1940).
