MUNICIPAL COURT

2.32.010 Establishment.
There is created an independent municipal court in accordance with the provisions of RCW 3.50.010 et seq., within the city. The creation of such a municipal court pursuant to RCW 3.50.010 et seq. is necessary as the existing municipal court was terminated as of June 30, 1984, by the Court Improvement Act of 1984. (Ord. 524 § 1, 1984)
2.32.020 Civil jurisdiction.
The municipal court created pursuant to this chapter shall have no civil jurisdiction. It is the intent of the city council in adopting the ordinance codified in this chapter that the municipal court should continue to enforce municipal ordinances and provide penalties upon convictions for violations thereof.
