10.60.010 Definitions.
A. “Off Road Vehicle” shall be defined as set forth in I.C. 14-8-2-185.

10.60.020 Adoption of State Law.
The use of Off Road Vehicles in the state of Indiana is provided for under I.C. 14-16-1 et seq. and none of the provisions of this ordinance are intended to and nor shall they abrogate or modify any of the provisions of I.C. 14-16-1 et seq.

10.60.030 Use of Off Road Vehicles in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.
Off Road Vehicles are authorized to use gravel roads in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, outside the corporate limits of the City of Evansville, Indiana subject to the following:
A. Such Off Road Vehicles must display placards indicating they are slow-moving vehicles;
B. Such Off Road Vehicles must have operation lights as required by law, and such lights must be operating at all times;
C. Such use is limited to speeds not in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour;
D. Such use is limited to the driver of the Off Road Vehicle, and no passengers shall be permitted thereon;
E. Such use is limited to compliance with all ordinances of Vanderburgh County and laws or regulations of the State of Indiana relative to use of public roadways.

10.60.040 Penalties.
A. Violation of any part of this ordinance will result in a Fifty Dollar ($50.00) fine.
All such fines shall be paid into the Office of the Vanderburgh County Treasurer and shall be distributed by the Vanderburgh County Treasurer to the Vanderburgh County Auditor to be maintained as part of the County General Fund.
