CHAPTER 2.40: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

2.40.010 ESTABLISHED.
(A) There is established the information technology department.

2.40.020 FUNCTIONS.
(A) The functions of the information technology department include:
(1) administration, coordination, maintenance, and support of information technology services for borough personnel;
(2) administration, coordination, and implementation of information technology related infrastructure for all borough facilities, including local area and wide area network architectures interconnections;
(3) administration, implementation, and maintenance of the borough’s internal and external websites;
(4) steward of all spatial data within MSB;
(5) perform mapping support for borough departments;
(6) establishment, implementation, and maintenance of enhanced 911 addressing and related emergency services data sets;
(7) administration, implementation, and maintenance of on-line mapping functionality; and
(8) other related functions and duties as the manager may direct.

2.40.030 SUPERVISION.
(A) The chief information officer shall head the information technology department.
