REGULATIONS REGARDING PIONEER PARK

10.34.010 Activities prohibited.

The following provisions shall govern conduct and activities at Pioneer Park:

A.    The sale of any food or beverage within the park is prohibited unless written permission from the director of recreation is first obtained.

B.    The consumption of alcoholic beverages in or about the park by participants in games scheduled by or through the director of recreation is prohibited.

C.    Glass containers of any kind are prohibited in the park.

D.    Dogs are permitted within the park subject to all of the following regulations:

1.    Dogs shall be controlled by a physical leash that is not more than six feet in length, except within the designated dog park area.

2.    Dogs are not permitted in children’s playground or on the baseball/softball fields.

3.    Dogs in designated off-leash areas must be at all time under the control of and visible to the owner or caretaker of the dog.

4.    In the event the dog defecates on park property, the owner or caretaker of the dog shall remove the waste from the park and place it in a proper receptacle.

5.    Service animals (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act) in the performance of their duties are exempt from subsections (D)(1) and (2) of this section.

E.    The disposal of litter in the park is prohibited except in containers provided by the county.

F.    Overnight camping at any time on the grounds constituting Pioneer Park is prohibited.

G.    With the exception of designated parking areas, all motor-driven vehicles are prohibited south of Buckhorn Ridge Road.

H.    Parking of any motor vehicle is prohibited on those portion of Buckhorn Ridge Road within the boundaries of Pioneer Park.

I.    Horses are prohibited south of Buckhorn Ridge Road.

J.    All persons are prohibited from climbing on or about trees or fences.

K.    Wood cutting is prohibited.

L.    The speed limit for all vehicles is ten miles per hour.

M.    Curfew is at ten-thirty p.m. (Ord. 1808 §1, 2021; Ord. 940 §3, 1983).

10.34.020 Violation--Penalty.

Every person violating any provision of Section 10.34.010 is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof that person shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each and every person is guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of said section is committed, continued or permitted by any such person, and he shall be punished accordingly.
