CONNECTION CHARGES

6.25.010 Necessity.
It is hereby found and determined that it is necessary to establish conditions of equality as to properties which did not contribute toward the original construction of water mains and facilities to serve the properties within the district when such noncontributing properties are permitted to connect to such water mains and facilities. 6.25.020 Payment required for permit.
No permit shall be issued allowing any person to connect, or cause to be connected, any property to any water main or facility constructed pursuant to a special assessment proceeding created for the purpose of financing the cost of such main and facility until a special connection charge in an amount computed in the manner hereinafter provided has been paid to the district for the privilege of so connecting. 6.25.030 Computation of charge.
The connection charge provided for by HDWDC 6.25.020 shall be computed by the district manager, based upon what the share of the cost of said water main and facilities of the connecting property would have been had it been assessed in said proceeding, using the same formula used in the assessment district for determining the assessments. [Ord. 19 § 3, 1966].
6.25.040 Facilities acquired from Rancho Ramon Water Company.

6.25.050 Amount.
Repealed by Ord. 42. [Ord. 19 § 5, 1966].
6.25.060 Severability.
This chapter shall in no way affect any obligation which may now or hereafter exist pursuant to any other ordinance of the Hi-Desert Water District fixing a connection charge of general obligation. [Amended during 2010 codification; Ord. 19 § 6, 1966].
