The 2022 California Green Building Standards Code (Part 11 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations), also referred to as the CALGreen Code, including Chapter 1, Division II, “Administration,” as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted. One complete copy of the same is on file and is open for inspection by the public in the office of the city clerk and designated as the green building code for the city of Highland. The building official is hereby designated as the authority charged with the administration and enforcement of this code. (Ord. 457 § 9, 2022; Ord. 438 § 10, 2019)
15.38.020 Purpose.
The purpose of this code is to prescribe regulations for the design, operation and construction of new structures to reduce negative impact, create energy efficient structures, positive environmental conditions and encourage sustainable construction practices.
