FINAL MAP.1

24-6.1 Preparation; Contents Generally.

After approval of the tentative map by the Planning Commission, the subdivider may cause a final map to be prepared in accordance with a completed survey of the subdivision and in substantial compliance with the approved tentative map and in full compliance with the Subdivision Map Act and this chapter. The final map shall contain all information required by the City Engineer and shall, in addition, conform to the standards and requirements of the County Surveyor. (Code 1972 §29-30)

24-6.2 Submission; Additional Data.

a. The final map together with plans, profiles and specifications for proposed street improvement work shall be submitted to the City Engineer for approval.

b. The plans, profiles and specifications required by paragraph a. shall show full details of the proposed improvements and shall conform to the requirements of the City Engineer and to standards of the City.

24-6.3 Action by the City Engineer.

a. Report To Be Filed. Before a final map filed pursuant to this section is submitted to the Council for final approval, the City Engineer shall file with the Council and Planning Commission a report covering findings and recommendations relative to the compliance of the subdivider with the requirements of this Chapter and previous actions of the Planning Commission and the Council.

b. Approval. If the final map, plans, profiles and specifications filed pursuant to this section are found to be in correct form, and the matters shown thereon are sufficient, the City Engineer shall endorse his approval thereon.

24-6.4 Checking by the County Engineer.

a. The County Surveyor is hereby designated as the agency for checking all final subdivision maps as to compliance with the Subdivision Map Act and the provisions of the chapter.

b. The final map may be submitted to the County Surveyor for checking at any time after the approval of the tentative map, but such checking must be completed prior to the submission of such map to the Council for final approval.

24-6.5 Fee to County Engineer for Final Checking.

In addition to all other fees and charges required by law, upon submitting the final map under the provisions of Section 11593 of the Business and Professions Code to the County Engineer, the subdivider shall pay to the County Engineer a final map checking fee. The amount of this fee shall be determined by resolution of the City Council and may, from time to time, be adjusted in accordance with the agreement executed between the County Engineer of the County and the City Council.
