2.38.010 Creation of position.
The city manager is authorized, from time to time, to enter into contracts with others calling for the servicing of the city’s parks, specifically including, but not limited to, Bayfront Park. Persons performing the duties under such contract or employees designated as such by the city manager shall be referred to as "park rangers" and shall have such duties as are set forth in such contract as well as such duties as set forth in this chapter. (Ord. 684 § 1 (part), 1983).
2.38.020 Duties.
The park ranger shall have the following duties:
(a) Such duties as are set forth in the contract referred to in Section 2.38.010 or as assigned by the city manager;
(b) Enforcement within the limits of a city park or adjacent thereto of the following Chapters of the Menlo Park Municipal Code: 8.28, 9.08, 11.24 and 13.20. (Ord. 684 § 1 (part), 1983).
2.38.030 Powers.
The park ranger shall have such powers as may be bestowed by ordinance pursuant to the provisions of California Penal Code Section 836.5 as it exists as of the date this chapter is adopted. (Ord. 684 § 1 (part), 1983).
