7.12.010 Hours.

It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of 18 years to loiter, wander, stroll or be present in or upon any public place, street, or establishment, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and daylight of the following day. (Ord. 176 § 1, 1959)

7.12.020 Exceptions.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply in the following cases:

(A) Where the minor involved is accompanied by his parent or legal guardian;

(B) Where the presence of the minor involved is connected with his employment or business;

(C) Where such minor has the written permission of his parent or guardian to be out at such hour, such written permission to bear the date when such permission is granted. A separate note of permission shall be drawn for each separate night that permission is granted. A general permission covering all times is not deemed a compliance herewith. (Ord. 176 § 2, 1959)

7.12.030 Violation – Guardian.

Where any minor is found violating this chapter it shall be presumed that the parent or legal guardian having the care and custody of the minor assisted, aided and abetted the minor in the violation of this chapter. (Ord. 176 § 3, 1959)

7.12.040 Order to show cause – Issuance.

Where a presumption arises that a minor has violated this chapter with the aid and assistance of the minor’s parent or legal guardian, an order to show cause shall be issued out of the Municipal Court directing such parent or legal guardian to appear before the Court and show cause why a complaint should not be filed charging the parent or legal guardian with a misdemeanor for violation of this chapter. 7.12.050 Aiding and abetting a violation.

Any person aiding or abetting any minor to violate this chapter shall himself have committed a violation of the same, and shall be punished as provided hereinbelow. (Ord. CCO-96-07 § 49, 1996; Ord. 176 § 5, 1959)

7.12.060 Penalty for violation.

Repealed by Ord. CCO-20-04. (Ord. CCO-95-04, 1995; Ord. 176 § 6, 1959)

7.12.080 Juvenile Court law.

Any minor charged with a violation of this chapter shall be dealt with in accordance with the Juvenile Court law. (Ord. 176 § 8, 1959)
