10.24.010 Discharge of Weapons—Permission Required.
It is declared unlawful for any person or persons, except peace officers in the discharge of their duties, to discharge or cause to be discharged within the corporate limits of the City any rifle, shotgun, pistol, revolver or other firearm, or any air gun, air pistol or air rifle, or any other device which forcefully discharges a projectile from a barrel, unless the person or persons have first obtained permission in writing so to do from the Chief of Police. This section shall not apply to any person who lawfully discharges a firearm in self-defense of themself or another person.
