Article 1. Posting of Public Notices

2-6-100 When no City newspaper.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 6042 where no newspaper of general circulation is published within the City, the publication of any notice required by law or the City Council shall be made in a newspaper of general circulation published nearest to the City of San Juan Bautista.

2-6-105 Designated posting places.

The following locations are designated as the three (3) public places where all official notices, financial statements, and ordinances shall be posted:

(A) On the bulletin board of the City Hall, at 311 Second Street.

(B) On the bulletin board of the City Library, at 801 Second Street.

(C) On the bulletin board of the United States Post Office, at 301 The Alameda.

2-6-110 Future changes by resolution.

In the event that the City Council should, at any time in the future, desire to add additional public places, it may do so by resolution. Any change to the posting places designated in SJBMC 2-6-105 shall only be made by ordinance.

2-6-115 Future posting reference.

In all future ordinances or other notices that require posting, it shall be sufficient to direct that the same shall be posted in the public places designated by this Article.
