2.26.010 Created.

There is created a planning commission of the city pursuant to California Government Code Section 65101 et seq. (Ord. 773 § 1 (Exh. A), 1990)

2.26.020 Composition and terms of office.

The planning commission shall consist of seven members regularly. There is an allowable temporary increase to ten members to allow for the existing board of architectural review members to be added to the planning commission. Through attrition, the number will be no more than seven members. The appointed members shall hold office for four years. (Ord. 1094 § 2, 2020; Ord. 773 § 1 (Exh. A), 1990)

2.26.030 Powers and duties.

The planning commission shall have all the powers and perform duties as provided in Government Code Section 65103. It shall be the function and duty of the planning commission to prepare, periodically review and revise, as necessary, the general plan of the city and to implement the general plan through actions including, but not limited to, the administration of specific plans and zoning and subdivision ordinances. The planning commission will also act as the board of architectural review, as it pertains to all references in SMC 17.70.070. (Ord. 1094 § 2, 2020; Ord. 773 § 1 (Exh. A), 1990)
