12.20.010 House numbering plan.

All lots, buildings and structures in the city shall be numbered in accordance with the following plan:

A. North and south numbers shall commence at 1000 at Plumas Street;

B. East and west numbers shall commence at 100 at First Street;

C. Odd numbers shall be on the west and north sides of the street;

D. Even numbers shall be on the south and east sides of the street;

E. There shall be one hundred numbers to each block, unless otherwise provided on chart;

F. Each lot of record shall have at least one number. (Ord. 612 § 1 (Appx. A (28)), 1982; Ord. 112, 1957; prior code § 11-201)

12.20.020 Maintenance of chart of street numbers.

The city clerk shall keep a chart showing the proper street number of every lot in the city, which shall be open to inspection by anyone interested. Such numbers, as may not be definitely determined under SMC 12.20.010, shall be definitely determined by the chart. (Ord. 112, 1957; prior code § 11-202)

12.20.030 Numbers on houses.

It shall be the duty of the owners and occupants of every house and/or building in the city to have placed thereon, in a place visible from the street, figures at least two and one-half inches high, showing the number of the house. Any person, firm or corporation failing to so number any house, building, or other structure occupied by him, or if after receiving notice to do so from the city clerk shall fail to do so, shall be guilty of an infraction and each day during or on which a failure to so number continues, a separate offense shall be deemed to have been committed.
