ELECTION DATE

1-7-01 Election date.
(a) All City of Turlock general municipal elections for all City of Turlock elective offices shall be held on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November of even-numbered years
(b) This chapter shall be operative only upon approval of the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors.
(c) Within thirty (30) days after operative date of this ordinance, the City Clerk shall cause a notice to be mailed to all registered voters informing the voters of the change in the election date. The notice shall also inform the voters that as a result of the election date change that elected city officeholders' terms in office will be changed.
(d) This chapter shall take effect upon passage and adoption.
