7-1-01 Described: Location.

The official bench mark of the City is hereby described, declared to be, and located as follows:

Such bench mark consists of a three and one-half (3-1/2") inch diameter brass plug set in concrete in a vertical position. The bench mark has "U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Bench Mark F84 Reset 1975" stamped across its top. Such bench mark is hereby declared to be located in the City at the north corner of Block 6 (Central Park), 1.75 feet southeasterly from the northwesterly brick wall which surrounds said north corner, and 1.65 feet southwesterly from the northeasterly brick wall. Such bench mark is hereby declared to be and is 102.221 feet above high mean sea level.

7-1-02 Purposes.

The bench mark described in Section 7-1-01 of this chapter shall be the initial point from which the grades of all streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and improvements within the City shall be determined, controlled, and governed.
