2.90.010 Purpose.

The purpose of the water and sewer advisory board is to make recommendations to the town board with respect to municipal water and wastewater matters relating to fee structures, plant investment fees for new construction within the combined service area of the town’s south service area and the district. [Ord. 850 § 1, 2016].

2.90.020 Authority.

The sole authority and responsibility of the water and sewer advisory board is to make recommendations to the town regarding water and wastewater matters in the combined service area including water and sewer user rates, plant investment fees for new connections to the water and sewer lines, and cost-saving proposals. The town board of trustees will make final decisions relative to such matters after receiving and considering the recommendations of the water and sewer advisory board. [Ord. 850 § 2, 2016].

2.90.030 Appointment.

The board shall be comprised of one individual from each of the following geographic areas: Granby Ranch subdivision, Grand Elk subdivision, the district, the town at large, and the combined service area at large. The board of trustees of the town shall appoint members to the water and sewer advisory board after receiving nominations from each of the five geographic areas. The term of each member of the water and sewer advisory board shall be for three years, except for the initial appointment. In the initial appointment, one member shall be appointed for one year, two members shall be appointed for two years, and two members shall be appointed for three years. The water and sewer advisory board shall elect one of their members to be chair of the water and sewer advisory board. [Ord. 850 § 3, 2016].

2.90.040 Minutes.

The water and sewer advisory board shall be responsible for keeping its own minutes to the extent it desires to do so. [Ord. 850 § 4, 2016].
