4-19-1 REGISTER REQUIRED:

It is unlawful for any person to operate in the city any hotel, lodging, boarding or rooming house, as defined by Idaho Code section 39-1801, without keeping a guest register wherein all persons registering for lodging, rooms or board shall be required to legibly print their names and place of residence, together with the date of registration and the number of the room or rooms occupied by such person. It shall be the duty of the hotel employee registering the guest or guests to confirm the identity of the person(s) registering from a validly issued government identification card. 4-19-2 REGISTER USE:

Such register shall be kept in the hotel, lodging or boarding house for a period of one year and shall at all times be kept open for inspection by law enforcement officials. (Ord. 920-10, 3-8-2010)

4-19-3 PENALTY:

A violation of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided for in section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 920-10, 3-8-2010)
