CORONER’S OFFICE MORGUE STORAGE FEES

3.07.010 Storage fee.
Effective March 1st, 2025, the Coroner’s Office will charge a flat fee of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) for the storage of a dead body.

3.07.020 Daily usage fee.
A daily usage fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) shall be assessed after a dead body has been stored at the Vanderburgh County morgue more than five (5) days.

3.07.030 Waiver of fees.
As long as storage of a dead body is in the Vanderburgh County morgue for the funeral homes in Vanderburgh County storage fees may be waived.

3.07.040 Posting.
The storage and daily usage fees established herein shall be appropriately posted, including posting of the fees, on the Coroner’s website.
