6.10.010 Regulating the keeping, harboring, and maintaining of livestock and fowl within the city limits.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep, harbor or maintain any swine or hogs within the corporate limits of the town of Whitestown, Indiana. [Ord. 1984-05 § 10. Prior code Title 3, Art. 1, Ch. 2, § 1]

6.10.020 Permits.

No person, firm or corporation shall keep, harbor or maintain any cattle, sheep or fowl within the corporate limits of Whitestown without first obtaining a permit, to be issued by the clerk-treasurer upon application therefor by such person, firm or corporation desiring to keep, harbor or maintain such animals or fowl; such application shall be filed with the town clerk-treasurer and the same shall thereupon be referred to the board of trustees of the town for investigation and approval or disapproval; in the event such application shall be approved by the town board by appropriate action, the clerk-treasurer shall thereupon be authorized to issue such permit, and the same shall be in full force and effect as long as it shall stand unrevoked; provided, however, that the board of trustees of said town shall continue to have the power to revoke said permit and, in case of revocation of such permit or the refusal to allow the issuance of such permit, such person, firm or corporation making such application shall be, and is, hereby prohibited from keeping, harboring, or maintaining any such animals or fowl within the corporate limits of said town. 6.10.030 Violations.

Each day’s violation of the terms of this chapter shall constitute a separate offense for which the violator may be fined pursuant to WMC 1.05.100. [Ord. 1984-05 § 10. Prior code Title 3, Art. 1, Ch. 2, § 3]
