18.05.010 Comprehensive plan adopted.

There is hereby adopted a comprehensive zoning plan for the Village of Cimarron, New Mexico, wherein the area and lands within the boundaries of said Village have been zoned into business zones, recreational zones and residential zones and industrial zones, and restrictions placed on the type, size, and values of buildings and structures that may be placed in each zone and the use of the property within each zone has been defined and limited; a copy of said zone plan may be inspected at all business hours at the office of the village clerk-administrator in the Village Hall by all interested persons. 18.05.020 Approval for construction.

Before the erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, moving or repair of any structure is commenced, complete and comprehensive plans and specifications for said proposed structure showing the design, cost, size, specifications, number of rooms, location, height, materials to be used, number of lots to be occupied by said structure as well as its exact situation on said lots, area of yards or courts both front and back, as well as the distance from the edge of the lot or lots on each side and the purpose for which it is designed and intended to be used shall be filed with the clerk-administrator of the Village, together with the prescribed fee, and said specifications shall be inspected and considered by the mayor and council at their next regular meeting; if said plans and specifications meet with the approval of the mayor and council, a permit to erect said structure shall be issued to said applicant. If no permit be issued, the fee shall be returned. [Amended during 2014 codification; Ord. 70 § 2, 1957].
