SEWER DISCHARGE CONTROL

13.16.010 Sewer inspection.

The county and each general improvement district operating a sewer system in the county shall have the right to inspect all existing or hereafter installed service lines, lateral or collector sewers which discharge waste water directly or indirectly into trunk sewer lines operated by the county or any such general improvement district. (Ord. 9-13-79 § 1 (1))

13.16.020 Improper discharges prohibited.

The discharge of septic waste water, excessive groundwater, debris or other objectionable substance into the sewer lines of the county or of any district is prohibited. (Ord. 9-13-79 § 1 (2))

13.16.030 Notice of substandard use or maintenance.

In the event such inspection discloses that by reason of improper use or improper maintenance, septic waste water, excessive groundwater, debris or other objectionable substances are being discharged into the sewers of the county or of any district, notice thereof shall be given directing the condition to be corrected. (Ord. 9-13-79 § 1 (3))

13.16.040 Disconnection for continued noncompliance.

Upon the neglect, failure or refusal to comply with the directions set forth in such notice, the county or district may disconnect the offending sewer from the county or the district sewer system. (Ord. 9-13-79 § 1 (4))
