3.20.010 Property tax.

The City Council shall annually set, by ordinance or resolution, the real and personal property tax rate to be levied within the City, as required by the current version of the Uniform Fiscal Procedures Act for Utah Cities and other applicable provisions of the Utah Code as amended. 3.20.020 Increase in property tax rate.

The City Council may propose, in its annual budget, to levy a property tax rate that exceeds the certified tax rate set annually for the City by the Utah State Tax Commission. If such an increase is proposed, the City Council shall comply with all public notice and hearing requirements before adopting the increased rate, as required by the current version of the Uniform Fiscal Procedures Act for Utah Cities, the Utah Property Tax Act, and other applicable provisions of the Utah Code as amended.
