12-5-101 Adoption of State Regulations.

The production, transportation, processing, handling, sampling, examination, grading, labeling and sale of all milk and milk products sold for ultimate consumption within the City, the inspection of dairy herds, dairies, and milk plants, and the issuing and revocation of permits to milk producers and distributors shall be regulated in accordance with the terms of the grade-A pasteurized milk regulations currently in force by the Utah State Department of Agriculture, three copies of which shall be on file in the office of the City Recorder and available for public inspection as required by state law.

12-5-102 Family Exemption.

The provisions of the regulations adopted by the preceding Section shall not apply to milk or milk products produced from animals owned by the family consuming the same.

12-5-103 Penalty.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this Chapter or the regulations adopted thereby, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be liable to punishment by a fine in an amount not to exceed $299, or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each and every violation shall constitute a separate offense.
