WATER USE EFFICIENCY (WUE) GOAL

13.26.020 Water use efficiency measures.
13.26.010 Goal.
The city has established the water use efficiency goal: Reduce customer water consumption by two and one-half percent by 2021. (Ord. 16-16 §1 (Exh. 2) (part): Ord. 15-12 §1(part)).
13.26.020 Water use efficiency measures.
The city must also evaluate and select cost-effective water use efficiency measures to meet use efficiency goals. With over one thousand connections, the city must evaluate or implement a minimum of five water use efficiency measures. (Ord. 16-16 §1 (Exh. 2) (part)).
13.26.030 Implementation.
A. All concrete cold joints in the city pool to be sealed--completed in the spring of 2016, customer class; "Public," one measure.
B. Information on methods and activities to reduce water use distributed to customers--fall, 2016. All customer classes, three measures.
C. Review and evaluate water rate structure to determine possible tier structure that would encourage water conservation--spring, 2017, customer class; all customer classes, three measures.
D. Review and evaluate irrigation practices at city parks and golf course to determine potential water savings--summer, 2017; "Public," one measure. (Ord. 16-16 §1 (Exh. 2) (part): Ord. 15-12 §1(part). Formerly 13.26.020).
