SPECIAL MOTOR VEHICLE PERMIT AUTHORIZATION TO HAUL ON MCNEIL CANYON ROAD

10.24.010 Special motor vehicle permit authorization to haul on McNeil Canyon Road.

A.    Operation of trucks in violation of the signed and posted McNeil Canyon Road seasonal closure from milepost 0.98 to milepost 7.83 shall be either an infraction under RCW 46.61.050 subject to a penalty of one hundred eighty-eight dollars as per the Infraction Rule for Courts of Limited Jurisdictions 6.2, or misdemeanor under the provisions of RCW 47.48.040 subject to up to ninety days in jail plus a monetary penalty of not less than five hundred dollars; and

B.    The Douglas County board of commissioners hereby adopts Attachment B to the resolution codified in this chapter: local access special permit for vehicles over ten thousand pounds GVW to use McNeil Canyon Road; and

C.    Operation of any motor vehicle in violation of the McNeil Canyon Road closure to vehicles over ten thousand pounds GVW and/or in violation of the conditions of the special motor vehicle permit authorization to haul on McNeil Canyon Road shall be a misdemeanor under the provisions of RCW 47.48.040 and shall be subject to assessment of a monetary penalty of not less than five hundred dollars.
